Copy Tip of the Week
Want more clicks? Stop giving people options.
The most powerful CTAs don't offer choices—they provide clarity.
I see this copywriting mistake all the time. Marketers give their audience too many paths forward.
"Check out our website, follow us on Instagram, or sign up for our newsletter to learn more!"
But the reality is every additional option you offer reduces the likelihood of ANY action being taken.
This principle is backed by psychology—it's called decision paralysis. When faced with multiple choices, people often choose none.
Instead:
Decide on the ONE action that matters most
Make that action ridiculously clear
Remove every competing distraction
Tell them exactly what to do next (don't hint when it comes to action, ASK)
Your reader’s busy, distracted, and looking for shortcuts. The greatest gift you can give them is absolute clarity on what happens next.
So stop hiding behind "Check out our link in bio" when what you really mean is "Click that link to buy our product."
Stop saying "Let me know what you think" when you actually want them to book a call.
Just tell them what to do.

Pretty Fly Copy
HEDLEY & BENNETT
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 I liked the Spring refresh theme. Also the layout and explanation of all those kitchen “utility” products was well done.
CALEDERA + LAB
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 It’s a great way to capture a pain point (”daylight saving time”) and feature how your product can help absolve an adjacently-related issue: tired, puffy eyes. I think the layout of the email was a little odd, but the approach and copy was great and benefits-driven!
STOPBOX
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 This was an awesome text-based campaign from Stopbox! It shared the why behind their product, which made a compelling case for its existence for nearly any gun-owner out there. Also, the CTA was perfect.
CARAWAY
Format: Email
Spotted By: Amanda Schumacher
Why she likes it 👉 The headline stopped me IN MY TRACKS (okay, I was sitting, but STILL) and paired it with an awesome CTA to shop their products. They also used a second, pretty powerful header in the body to reiterate everything.
