✨ The 3-Question Checklist to Instantly Sharpen Your Content
Got content that needs a quick polish?
Whether it's an email, ad, or landing page, these three questions ensure you’re cutting through the world’s white noise soundtrack with a message that connects:
1️⃣ Does this solve a REAL problem for my audience?
2️⃣ Can a 12-year-old understand what I’m writing?
3️⃣ Is the next step crystal clear for my reader?
That's it! Super simple, but these questions catch my rough spots every time.

Must-Read Articles
10-Step Email Accessibility Checklist (via Email Tool Tester)
Why I recommend it 👉 As a copywriter, you probably don’t think too much about email accessibility. You just write your campaign and move on. But it’s a crucial consideration (and requirement) for communicating well. Email accessibility means designing emails so everyone can understand and interact with them, including those with disabilities. And it’s more than just adding alt text to images—you also need to ensure readability, appropriate fonts, and a clear structure. Following this checklist can help you get started.
The Art of Writing One-Sentence Product Descriptions (via Dave Bailey)
Why I recommend it 👉 Crafting a clear and simple description is crucial for word-of-mouth marketing and successful product promotion. In this article, Dave Bailey explains how to create effective one-sentence product descriptions that highlight a key feature and its benefit.
7 subcultures to target instead of demographics: report (via Marketing Brew)
Why I recommend it 👉 Every good copywriter knows that the more narrow you can go with your audience, the better words you can write (and the stickier your message). That’s what this report from Horizon Media’s all about. It’s worth leaning into, especially if you’re bored with targeting traditional demographics.

Episode #237:
Rachel Botsman – Trust expert on how you can earn trust with your audience
Listen on iTunes | Listen on Spotify
Why I recommend it 👉 Rachel Botsman is a leading expert on trust in the modern world. She’s written a ton of books on the topic and has a lot to say.
While this feels like it could be applicable only to relationships offline, it’s actually beneficial insight to how to approach them online as well (particularly for brands).
Cultivating trust with customers is a long-term play for most businesses, but many go about it the wrong way because they’re too focused on the transactional side of things.
So how do you punch through the noise? That’s what this episode’s about.

ANTHROPOLOGIE
Format: Email
Spotted By: Shaina Crump
Why I like it 👉 The flow of this entire campaign was top-tier. It set the context (adding structure to your routine) and took you on a journey as you scrolled through. In a way, it’s a subtle story-driven framework. Not to mention, the CTAs were 🤌.
KINOBODY
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 If you know anything about this brand, it’s indicative of a hard pivot for them in their messaging strategy. Instead of a novella campaign jam-packed with text, it’s an easy-to-read campaign about the impact this particular product can have on men. Great subject line. Benefit-driven explanations.
HUMM KOMBUCHA
Format: Email
Why I like it 👉 If you can put your finger (er, campaign?) on the pulse of a cultural trend (i.e. Dry January), you totally should. Humm pulls this off well and positions their product as the next best step for keeping the health benefits going. Reminds me, I need to try some…
CENTER FOR HUMANE TECHNOLOGY
Format: Ad
Spotted By: Mark Allen
Why I like it 👉 Regardless of how you feel about social media and the teleology driving its makers, this was a great campaign. “Social media was made to be addictive.” is the only text involved, but the accompanying visuals are shocking to say the least. Way to grab attention.
